The Best Shortbread Cookie Recipe
Holiday season is officially here! Try out this recipe for any of your entertaining for a guaranteed hit. 🎄
Ingredients:
- 10 tbsp of unsalted butter; at room temperature
- 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp fine sea salt
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350F
1. Using an electric or hand mixer, cream the room temperature butter.
2. Add confectioners' sugar and mix on low speed.
3. Scrape bowl down and add the flour while mixing on low. Scrape down again and mix until combined.
4. On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, roll dough into small balls and slightly, gently press down, spaced at least an inch apart.
5. Use a fork to indent a pattern onto the top.
6. Bake for about 10 minutes.
7. Transfer cookies onto cooling rack
Bonus step: while cookies are freshly transferred onto cooling rack and still warm, press small Lindor chocolate balls in the centre of cookies for chocolate shortbread cookies.
