Easy Nutritious Dark Chocolate Chip Banana Oatmeal Cookies Recipe
Mini story! Prior to opening Integrity Massage Therapy, as a life-long learner, Sarah Middendorf completed several holistic nutrition courses for fun. Part of her studies involved creating a nutritious (yet delicious!) recipe to share with others—here it is!
Ingredients:
- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup unsweetened organic applesauce
- 1/4 cup almond milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp organic cinnamon
- 2 cups organic, non-GMO rolled oats
- 1/4 cup organic dark chocolate chips (can substitute or add 1/4 cup pumpkin seeds)
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Celsius
- Mash bananas in a bowl then mix in remaining wet ingredients
- Add in remaining dry ingredients and mix well
- Scoop onto baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20 minutes
- Transfer cookies onto cooling rack
- Once cooled, store cookies in a sealed container in refrigerator or freezer
